Two projects in one.

This project is a good example of all the separate elements that need to be taken into account for a successful garage build here in Canberra. With a sloping block, we had to place strip drains in front of the shed to help with drainage and keep the shed dry. For this shed to be compliant with service providers (e.g. Icon Water, Evo Energy, TCCSS) we had to put roller doors on the front of the shed for access into the backyard. Due to the slope of the block, this meant also building a ramp into the rear of the yard.

Additional works that our in-house crews completed include, completing the concrete slab, constructing the shed itself as well as relocating some colorbond fencing and gating to make the new space flow well.

This garage is finished in woodland grey and includes, a custom timber coat roller door as well as a sliding glass door. We think it looks great!

First Sheds was tasked with supplying the shed as well as extra work for a drain on the front of the shed, relocation of colorbond fence and gate, and building of an access ramp.

We started with the earthworks followed by pouring the concrete slabs. We then worked on the construction of the shed itself which included the installation of two roller doors, one glass sliding door, roof insulation, framing, as well as claddings, gutters, downpipes, and flashings to suit all done with a color bond finish.

We then focused on the construction of an access ramp at the back of the shed as well as a grated drain at the front of the shed. We had to relocate the colorbond side fence and gate to wrap up the whole project in one nice package.
