This Double Garage was a knock down rebuild, replacing an old garage in Giralang. Many old garage built in the ACT had poor height clearance, and shocking weather proofing that essentially leaves the shed open to the elements.

The project started with First Sheds managing the approvals process. After this was successful, the old garage and concrete were demolished and removed. First Sheds lay a new slab, including a drop edge beam at the back for extra height. The shed was constructed with electric roller doors, a glass sliding door, insulation, sky lights, and storm water hookup. A strip drain was installed to manage water coming down the driveway. First Sheds arranged for the electrical works including a sub board in shed, batten lights, power-points, and an outdoor sensor light. First Sheds then completed landscaping works to make good the pavers and surrounds. This whole process including a 5 weeks approval wait time took about 3 months.

WHATS INCLUDED: This project included earthworks, concrete slab, material supply, construction, and project management. The approval was handled in conjunction with the garage on the block.
